TEACHERS' DAY IN MADRID

Ana María Rico and Maite Planelles attended the lectures celebrated in Palacio de Congresos in Madrid on Saturday 2nd April organized by MacMillan. We met former teachers Teresa Nieto and Ana Pardos.
We found particularly interesting the lecture given by Professor David Crystal: By hook or crook: a jouney in search of English. His lecture consisted of a travelogue of a journey to find out more about the fascinating variety and history of the English language in Britain and overseas. The talk covered accents and dialects, place names and etymologies. He introduced some of the people and places encountered, from Lady Godiva to Bricklehampton, and reflected on the language’s continually changing and elusive character.

During the break someone took a picture of us with the Professor. With no doubt both a great opportunity to listen to the great lecturer and meet our colleagues.

Con motivo de la celebración del día de la Mujer el pasado 8 de marzo, aprovechamos la grabación realizada por la Fundación Equals para llevar a cabo una actividad de listening comprehension. Intercambio 2011

Por segundo año consecutivo los alumnos de 3º ESO de la Sección Europea de nuestro Centro participan en el intercambio lingüístico y cultural con el Rheingauschule Gymnasium de Alemania. En estas fechas estamos disfrutando de la visita de los alumnos alemanes. Nosotros viajaremos a Alemania en el mes de mayo, concretamente del 5 al 12 de mayo. En la presentación podéis encontrar información interesante al respecto. Próximamente publicaremos fotografías. Esta es sin duda una gran experiencia.

TRINITY COLLEGE

Queda abierto el plazo de matriculación para las pruebas GESE (Graded Examinations in Spoken English) del Trinity College.
El IES "Cañada Real" de Valmojado, como centro registrado examinador ofrece esta posibilidad a todos sus profesores, alumnos, familiares y amigos, así como a todos los del entorno del centro.
Las pruebas tendrán lugar en la semana del 20 al 24 de junio de 2011 y el plazo para realizar la matrícula acaba el próximo 15 de marzo.

ePORTFOLIO EUROPEO DE LAS LENGUAS

Ya está disponible el Portfolio Electrónico Europeo de las Lenguas (ePEL), para todos aquellos estudiantes de idiomas que lo quieran utilizar.

Se trata de una herramienta online, mediante la cual el usuario puede registrar, entre otras cosas, todos sus datos, sus progresos, la documentación y la titulación que va obteniendo y cualquier tipo de experiencia relacionada con el aprendizaje de lenguas extranjeras. Al mismo tiempo, el ePEL facilita información precisa del nivel del alumno, atendiendo al Marco Común de Referencia Europeo, posibilita la revisión permanente de las tablas de autoevaluación y permite generar un archivo en pdf, con alguno o todos los apartados que componen el Portfolio: biografía lingüística, dossier y pasaporte.
